So my dear friends, today I finalized the mixing of the third Rising Shadows album called 'Finis Gloriae Mundi'. It has been a long and rewarding work with several musicians contributing to a very intriguing sound this time. Linda-li did her best and most experimental vocal performances sofar, KG Westman added a whole new dimension with the sitar, as did Stefan Granberg with the bouzouki. Altough bassist Guillaume stepped back from the band I value his final contributions and want to thank him for his work with us. Last but not least I wanna thank Mattias Olsson percussionist (among other strange instruments) and co-producer who did a marvelous job and inspired me to take it all the way!

As usual the album is a kind of journey and I can't wait to bring you along...

2008-07-07 I have finally finished the Rising Shadows album with only mastering to go. Title of it is 'FOUND IN THE COLD' and features me on keyboards, organs and orchestrations, Linda-Li on vocals and Guillaume Le Huche on bass. I am currently working on the albumcover which is gonna wrap up the theme of this and the previous album. The tracklist is almost set and I will post it for you later this week!

2008-05-06 Yeah I know, it's been a while since last post, the recording is not finished yet as I had hoped... there have been lots of things in between slowing down the process. But things are starting to roll again and I think the break have been for the better of this recording! I really want to post some work in progress right away but I think I will have to wait just a little bit still....

2008-03-16 We're back with another album progress update: we have just begun with vocals, mostly trying out some stuff and tweaking lyrics at the moment. One thing is sure though it will be more experimental and varied than before...

We have also set up a Facebook and a Virb account so if you are present at those communities, come join us!

2008-02-26 I'm crawling out of my composer cave to let you know that the work on the new Rising Shadows album is going really well. Recording of the vocals will start in about two weeks altough I am not recording things in any particular order so there are still plenty of stuff to add, but the basic outlines of the songs are there and I must say I get a really good vibe out of them.
